I don't like these About Me pages but I guess they're a necessary evil. So here we go:
I'm freelance, so I will write stuff for you, help you with your social media or come and talk to you or your conference if you ask nicely and pay me.
I like technology.
I run my own Exchange server (Exchange 2010 SP1, since you ask)
Yes, I know that's overkill.
I have five six functioning computers.
I also have an iPad and an iPod Touch.
Oh, and a smartphone - an HTC HD7 running Windows Phone 7 a Nokia Lumia 800
And God knows how many ancient old handsets, plus an old Sony Clie, a first-gen PSP, an Xbox 360 and various other old bits of hardware.
I used to work for the Guardian, where I wrote about technology quite a lot.
I've also worked or written for the FT, the Telegraph, the People, Sunday Business, City AM, Hello! magazine and Business Traveller magazine.
You can occasionally catch me on the telly reviewing the papers for the BBC News channel (that's me in the middle of that picture above).
I'm on Twitter
And if you're looking for posts about kittens, you'll find them on my other blog.
You can offer me work, say nice things or otherwise get in touch via blog at katebevan dot com.
I live in London and I like cats.
Er, that's it.
